Day-1 Rampur to Jaon (27th July)

Reaching Rampur on the first day, from there it will take 3-4 hours to reach village JAON . The trekking starts from here. The 4 km trail would take us to our destination for the night, SHINGAARGH . Dinner will be served at 7:30pm. This is also the check point and the registration centre for the trekkers.

Day-2 Shingaargh to Thachadu (28th July)

Early morning at 6:30 am After breakfast we will start from SHINGAARGH to THACHADU (Distance covered – 12 km). The Team will clean along the way and interact with the camping owners. We will also make sure that they are using jute bags for collecting dry garbage (Plastic bottles, wrappers or any other form of dry waste) which is given to them the previous month during Solid waste management workshop in NIRMAND. Team will also clean along the way up to THACHADU which will be our night stay.

Day- 3 Thachadu to Kuncha (29th July)

After the daily chores in the morning, the breakfast will be served at 8 am. Today, the amount of garbage along the trails will decide our speed. The distance covered from THACHADU to KUNCHA, our next camp, is 7- 8 km. This place has the most spectacular view and that's the reason  why we are staying here tonight.

Day- 4 Kuncha to Bhim dawari (30th July)

The distance from KUNCHA to BHIM DAWARI is only 6-7kms. Team will follow the usual routine and if the team gets tired by this time we will leave this trail for the next team as we have teams coming up every week.

BHIM DAWARI is the biggest camping settlement , more the 100 camps are set-up here and thus the amount of garbage is also in huge quantity. Hence, engaging the camping owners is really important for the long term sustainability.

Day-5 Bhim Dawari – Shreekhand top – Bhim Dawari (31st July)

Today will be the longest day to trek as we have to reach on the top and come back by evening. Terrain today will be really tough plus cleaning at certain points (नयनसरोवर) with increasing heights and less oxygen makes it even challenging. There are 3-4 glaciers which one has to cross to reach top. In order to make it possible team has to start early and has to follow timeline as adviced by the guide. BHIM DAWARI – Parvati baag – nayan sarovar – Kailash khand top – back to BHIM DAWARI.

Day-6 Bhim Dawari to Shingaarh. (1st August)

Today we have to reach back to our second base camp that is SHINGAARGH. So the amount of garbage depends on the individual how much he/she wants to carry. It will be a long day again and almost 10-12 hours trekking. After breakfast team will start descending.
